Our goal at Five Star Tack has always been to produce exceptional quality bridles and strap goods without the high retail markup of other tack companies. By keeping each product run small we avoid the questionable quality and common look of the many mass produced brands sold today.
We do not cut corners by using cheaper leather to manufacture Five Star bridles. Leather that is hand selected by J&E Sedgwick, Walsall, England is known the world over its exceptional quality. Great care is taken to insure that the leather that leaves Sedgwick's factory maintains it's quality and is not damaged by careless manufacturing practices.
All products are individually hand finished and are hand stitched at all stress points with only the finest filament. Unlike some of our competitors, our bridles will not break after a few years. Rather, they are made to last many years through all types of use and maintain their good looks.
Care of Your Five Star Bridle The proper care of your Five Star Bridle is integral to its performance. A few minutes after every ride is all you need to keep your bridle looking its best.
After each ride, the tack should be wiped over with a damp sponge or cloth. If there are sweat marks or if the tack is very dirty a damp cloth is better as you can use the nap of the cloth to “rub” off the dirt. Let the leather dry naturally and then apply Five Star Leather Cream or glycerine saddle soap to both the grain and flesh side of the leather. When dry, buff the leather with a soft brush or cloth.
